Something you might not see every day is a mollusc from the sea trying to eat. But this video shot last month (September 2) shows the unique way sea slugs ingest food.
The footage was captured on the west coast of Canada near Victor Island in British Columbia when the filmer, J.D Gardener, set a crab trap in the water and retrieved the slimy surprise.
Usually, the sea-dwelling invertebrate dines on only plant matter and plankton, which could explain the hapless attempt to eat the shrimp given to it by the filmer.
