Gruesome discovery of parasitic grubs crawling out of mouse carcass
- 6 years ago
This is the retch-worthy moment owners of a cat in Connecticut discovered a dead mouse with some grisly passengers on Saturday (October 6).
The family cat brought in the creature, thinking the mouse was a heartfelt gift for its owner, but didn't realise the bonus feature of two squirming grubs would be something of a concern to its masters.
The owner said: "Cat brought home a dead mouse, after thanking her, I bent down to pick it up and notice something moving next to it."
They later added: "Upon closer inspection of the dead mouse we discovered two larvae, one still trying to wriggle its way out of the dead mouse's anus."
