This is the hilarious moment a cat got scared by a cucumber, leaping several feet away in surprise.
In the clip, filmed in Foshan City in southern China’s Guangdong Province on September 22, a yellow cat finishes eating and turns, immediately bouncing away as it sees a cucumber on the floor.
It is not clear why cats so often panic when faced with a sudden cucumber but there are several theories, such as having a hardwired instinct to avoid a suddenly appearing object, or that cucumbers vaguely resemble snakes that cats are genetically predisposed to fear.
