Massive waves were seen hitting the port of the Sicilian town of Stazzo, Italy on Friday, as a medicane hit Europe on Friday, September 28.A “medicane” is a hurricane-like perturbation that affects the Mediterranean between September and October, a study from 2011 said.According to the Sicilian Meteorological Center, an association that covers weather in Sicily, the perturbation would bring heavy winds to the area.
