Will Zendaya Play Ariel in Live-Action Little Mermaid Movie?

According to Comicbook.com, Zendaya has long been rumored to be Disney's top choice to play Ariel in the upcoming live-action take on The Little Mermaid. Although the film is in pre-production, it has been revealed that Alan Menkin and Lin-Manuel Miranda will be composing music for the film and it will have new musical numbers along with classics such as "Under the Sea". At the moment, the idea of Zendaya playing Ariel is just a rumor, but she has said that she would like to do the film.
