Video shows moment truck is swept away by raging floodwaters in northern India

Two men on a truck were swept away by fast-moving floodwaters in Himchal Pradesh, located in northern India, on Sunday, September 23.

This video, filmed at Beas River in the small town of Kullu, shows the gushing stream washing the truck away. Locals said that the driver was attempting to cross the bridge when floodwaters came rushing unexpectedly.

Torrential rain has led to floods in Himchal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and nearby areas of Madhya Pradesh in recent days.
