Empty hands and empty hopes for a Brexit compromise is what Theresa May returned to London with after negotiations in Salzburg went sour. Her Brexit plan was unexpectedly and firmly rejected by EU leaders - putting further pressure on the deal, as the deadline gets ever closer.
