When the members of Two-9 say "me," they aren't talking about themselves, exactly. As the raucous Georgia rap set explain in the fourth episode of The Slang Show, down in the Peach State those two letters are tagged on to the end of something you want in order to stake your claim. For example, one might wake up in the morning and say "Starbucks, me!"

"I think 2 Chainz originated the 'me,' but the 'me' is taking over Atlanta right now," they explained. And you know you can trust them when they're talking Atlanta because at the end of the above video, they sign off with a group dab. Watch the fourth episode of The Slang Show above, and stay tuned to The FADER for more on your favorite artists' favorite colloquialisms.
