A baby, equipped with ear muffs, was put on board a Coast Guard helicopter in Onslow County, North Carolina, on September 15, along with other people and their pets, in one of the many aerial rescue operations underway following Storm Florence.The operation can be seen in this video from Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City.Storm Florence left hundreds stranded in North Carolina in the city early Friday morning, September 14, when it made landfall as a hurricane.Florence weakened as it moved across the Carolinas, and was downgraded to a Tropical Depression by the morning of September 16. The National Weather Service warned that flash flooding and river flooding were expected to get worse on that date as Florence continued to dump rain on some areas.
