Massachusetts Governor Declares State Of Emergency Following Deadly Explosions

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker declared a state of emergency following gas explosions that rocked the suburbs north of Boston, and faulted the response of the Columbia Gas of Massachusetts unit of NiSource Inc. While speaking at a briefing with local news media, Baker said that he was putting another utility with local operations, Eversource Energy, in charge of responding to the incident.
