A passive and self-contained residential building opens

On the occasion of the San Francisco Climate Summit, a passive and self-contained residential building, built in the heart of San Francisco, opens to visitors. Topped with a solar panel roof, the building has a clean energy production system and is carbon neutral, which allows it to stay powered in case of a disruption to the general network. It was awarded the US Department of Energy Housing Innovation Award.
