World hunger, which had been on the decline for years, is rising again according to a report released by the UN.
In 2017, the number of undernourished people increased to 821 million -- that's one out of every nine people in the world.
Over 22-percent of children under the age of five -- nearly 151 million -- are affected by stunted growth due to lack of food.
The report pointed to conflicts, climate variability as the key leading causes of food crises.
North Korea faces its own well-documented food shortage problems.
Eleven million people -- or 43 percent of the entire population -- suffer constant malnutrition.
The figure is up nearly ten percent compared to a decade ago.
