The yellow Rolls Royce

The auto is first puchased by an English aristocrat (Rex Harrison) as an anniversary present for his unfaithful wife (Jeanne Moreau). It is then bought and is driven through the complicated life of a Miami gangster (George C. Scott) and his moll (Shirley MacLaine) who is romantically involved with an Italian street photographer (Alain Delon). It's third and final owner is a name-dropping millionairess (Ingrid Bergman) who, during war time, gets herself dangerously implicated in a coup d'etat by smuggling a handsome Yugoslav partisan (Omar Shariff) across the frontier.

The music composed by Riz Ortolani (known for "More" from the film "Mondo Cane") includes the main title, the hit song "Forget Domani" (sung by Mrs. Ortolani, the international singing star Katyna Ranieri), and the instrumental "Mae" (Shirley MacLaine's theme in the film). Other themes include "Pisa" and "Going To Soriano".
