The LGBT community is filled with joy all over the country after Supreme Court decriminalised Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. Here's what hotelier Keshav Suri, Executive Director of the Lalit Suri Hospitality Group said after the court's ruling. Suri is openly gay and had filed a fresh writ petition with the Supreme Court this year in favour of decriminalising Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. Gay sex among consenting adults is not an offence, the Supreme Court ordered on Thursday, reading down a British-era section 377 of the penal code that penalises people for their sexual orientation. Delivering separate but concurring judgments, a five-judge bench of the apex court said it is the constitutional and not social morality which will prevail. There were scenes of celebration not just outside the court.
