South Korea's overseas direct investment rose sharply in the second quarter..... as companies invested more in the manufacturing and finance sectors.
The Finance Ministry says,.... overseas direct investment hit near 13 billion U.S. dollars in the second quarter,... up over 25 percent from the same period last year.
By sector,.... manufacturing accounted for 38 percent of Korean companies' offshore investment,.... with heavy investment and mergers and acquisitions in semiconductors.
This was followed by investment in the finance, insurance and real estate sectors.
