Todays video is a little different, this is the first episode of riding with Seth. In these videos you will get channel updates, news items, and anything current. I will also be plugging products from time to time, which could eventually allow me to make this a full time job. So why not do these things in my normal videos? Why the need for a new series? Well I want to keep all this stuff separate so I can focus on making my normal videos as entertaining as possible. So if you don’t care about channel updates, or you don’t want someone blatantly marketing to you, just ignore these videos when they pop up.
The first order of business is that I’ll be going to Moab, Utah next week. This is one of the most iconic mountain biking destinations in the known world, so you can expect some amazing footage and videos in a couple of weeks. During that trip I’ll be collaborating with Brian from BK-XC. I’ve linked to his channel below. Brian visits all sorts of mountain bike trails and posts stunning, stabilized video from his GoPro with all the boring stuff cut out. Since he’s in much better shape than me, he has lung capacity to actually speak as he rides, making the videos all that more interesting. Check the description for a link to his channel, and if you haven’t subscribed already, remember that he’ll be posting videos with me on that trip.
Second, a lot of you guys ordered these Taco shirts in preparation for the trip. I wanted to give a shout out to a subscriber of mine, Nick, who made this design. I think that only an insider could create something this awesome, since it plays on several inside jokes. If you like his work, check out the link to his channel below, as well as a whole video showing the making of this shirt.
Third, From the very beginning I’ve captioned my videos, both in the description and via the closed captions button. Because of these written transcripts, it’s pretty easy to translate my videos into other languages. So if you live in another country and want to share these with non-English speaking people, you can click the “add subtitles” button and submit a transcript in any language you want. YouTube gives you credit for this work, but I don’t know what this actually translates to—no pun intended.
And finally, I want to apologize that there probably won’t be a video next Sunday since I’ll be in Moab filming and riding. Since each of my videos take about 12 hours to produce, I’d be better off just spending the time filming. If I post something, enjoy. If not, be patient and I’ll resume the normal posting schedule after the trip.
