In another video I reviewed and installed the DNM dropper seat post: https://youtu.be/K35LXiExBh8

After 6 months of hard use, I'm posting a follow up in case you're wondering how it's held up. The post itself is perfect, the switch is destroyed. Most riders will not destroy the switch, but aggressive risk-takers who crash often will quickly demolish it.

I think it's fair to criticize this aspect of the post, since none of my gear shifters, brake levers, or anything else on my handlebars have been destroyed in these 6 months. I think it's the poor design of the switch that makes it vulnerable to impact.

You can order a replacement from DNM, but they actually request a bank transfer, and it costs $43! I found a Crankbrother's switch on Amazon which is way nicer for only $35, so that's a much better option: http://amzn.to/1QHo8ki

As for the post itself, it's completely life-changing. I can now drop low to bunnyhop or do something aggressive, while popping it back up to ride away is just a flip of a lever. The post is lightweight, sturdy, has virtually no play in it whatsoever, and even looks super nice.

Even if you end up destroying the switch, it's still going to cost you well under two hundred dollars, so I highly recommend this post.
