Hermit Crabs With Beautiful Painted Shells

Two pet hermit crabs with their shells beautifully painted with an intricate black and gold pattern. Florist Niwat Dechkul gave her beloved pets the stunning hand-painted black and gold design at her home in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 9. She used a large black brush for the base coat on the shell then dipped a fine brush in gold leaf for the detailed traditional Thai style pattern of flowers and leaves. Niwat said: ''It took a while but it was worth it. They look beautiful.''
