As North Korea celebrates the 70th anniversary of its founding, the regime's state airline, Air Koryo, has temporarily added more flights between Pyongyang and the Chinese capital of Beijing.
According to sources from the Chinese aviation industry, between Thursday and Saturday, the regime's airline will be operating six extra flights between the two cities.
The North will be holding a massive military parade and other events this Sunday.
Ahead of that, on Thursday, Air Koryo is reportedly adding three flights -- one each at noon, 4 PM and 7 PM, in addition to the one it already has at 2 PM.
The extra flights are an indication that the September 9th event will be one of the largest North Korea has ever put on.
There were, in fact, double the number of passengers today checking in for Pyongyang-bound flights from the Chinese capital, and notably more foreigners.
