Statistics agency to develop system to compile more quality-of-life data

The newly appointed head of Korea's statistics agency vowed to develop a system to analyze data not only on the quantity but the quality of jobs.
At the 8th National Statistics Development Forum, Commissioner Kang Shin-wook said the agency is planning to use big data and administrative records... on top of field surveys... to reflect new indexes like work security, working conditions and work-life balance.
He added Statistics Korea is looking to come up with more accurate and timely data on other areas such as the fertility rate and education.
