Police investigate after crocodile escapes from restaurant in eastern Chinese province

Police were on high alert after a local restaurant in Zhejiang province reported that a crocodile escaped from their premise on August 24.

Staff reported that the crocodile, legally purchased by the restaurant, was discovered to be missing early that morning, and that the reptile is about a meter long and approximately 30 pounds. While its size does not pose a threat, the situation was deemed dangerous and police have launched a full-scale investigation for the crocodile.
