This is the moment a resident of flood-hit Kerala in India mustered the courage to shoo away a massive python which was trying to enter her home.

She beats the ground with a stick to make the over 8-feet-long snake go away.

Luckily, a local snake catcher came and rescued the snake.

The incident occurred in Chengannur in Alappuzha district of Kerala, India, on August 23.

Unprecedented floods in the state have killed more than 400 and displaced 350,000 people.

The wildlife is also affected. There have been complaints from people in several districts that reptiles are crawling into their houses seeking shelter.
