Pink Stops Concert to Hug Grieving Teenager at Brisbane Show

Pop star Pink stopped her concert in Brisbane, Australia, on August 22 to embrace a teenage fan after learning that the 14-year-old’s mother had recently died.The 38-year-old American singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, spotted Leah Murphy’s sign that she would “love a hug” after she was bereaved.Footage captured by Leah’s aunt Katrina Donkin and her friend Jade Rocci shows the singer moving through the crowd to comfort Leah. She can then be seen giving her a hug and autographing her arm before taking a selfie with her.Ahead of Wednesday night’s concert, fan Leah created a number of signs which read; “Hi, my name’s Leah. I’m 14 years old and I just lost my beautiful mum. I would love a hug”.The signs were passed around by fans in the audience until one reached Pink onstage, Sunrise reported.
