An SUV narrowly avoided being pushed into a river when a mountainside collapsed in southern China earlier this month.

A dramatic video, which was filmed in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province on August 1, shows a mass of mud and rocks fall from the side of a mountain.

The debris hits the family car, shunting it to the very edge of the road where it teeters over a fast-flowing river.

Fortunately, the driver and passengers managed to get out of the vehicle safely and no injuries were reported.
