Pill-Popping Death? New Show Suggests George Michael Took Hard Drugs In Sad Last Days

After spending the Holiday by his lonesome, George Michael passed away on Christmas Eve, 2016. While his death certificate stated the musician died of natural causes, Autopsy’s Dr. Michael Hunter is now seeking to expose the dark truth behind the singer’s early demise.

According to Michael’s death certificate, the star suffered from “Dilated Cardiomyopathy” and “Fatty Liver.”

“These conditions are all rooted in lifestyle and can cause the heart to fail or increase the risk of sudden cardiac death,” says Hunter in a teaser for REELZ’s new docuseries, Autopsy: George Michael.

“For many years, George was treated with medication for depression and was also known to be a heavy user of marijuana. But there are many accounts that he began taking harder drugs,” he adds.

Did these play a part in his untimely death?

Autopsy: George Michael airs Sunday, June 3 at 9:00 ET / PT on REELZ.
