Australia Zoo has announced the birth of a brand new baby from giraffe mum Rosie, who brought the adorable, long-legged calf into the world on August 14.Born at almost two metres tall and weighing in at around 60kg (132 pounds), the giraffe was in good health after its 15-month gestation period, zookeepers said. Rosie and her baby are spending quality time together before rejoining the rest of the herd on the Queensland zoo’s African Savannah.A press release from Australia Zoo explained that giraffe always give birth standing up, so the fall for the calf can be up to two metres.
