According to a report by Reuters, on Saturday, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called for "swift and just" legal action after the head of the judiciary warned that the country faced an 'economic war.' Since April, the rial currency has reportedly lost about half of its value since April under the threat of renewed US sanctions. Reuters reports that the cost of living has also soared, sparking demonstrations, with many protestors chanting anti-government slogans.
