Charlottesville declares state of emergency ahead of one-year anniversary of deadly protest clashes

A state of emergency has been declared in Charlottesville in preparation for the anniversary of last year's white nationalist rally. One woman died and many others were injured as white supremacists clashed with police and counter protesters in August 2017.
