Quilt left out to dry smoulders amid China heatwave

A quilt drying in the open air was burned due to the heatwave in northern China.
In the video, filmed in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province on August 2, smoke floats up from the sheet as it smoulders under the sun.
According to reports, the temperature reached 38C on that day.
China's northern plain region – which includes the capital city of Beijing – is expected to be one of the world's deadliest heatwave zones by the end of the century, according to climate scientists.
