Inland regions see sporadic rain but still hot _ 080618

Good afternoon, Seoul saw some welcome passing showers this morning. Many inland regions will also see rainfall while parts of Gangwon-do Province could see heavier showers.

5 to 50 millimeters of showers will fall but some areas of Gangwon-do Province could see more than 80 millimeters of rain.

In fact, a heavy rain advisory has been issued in those regions. The rain will bring down the temperatures there, while the rest of the country will be as hot or hotter than Sunday.

Daily highs in Seoul, Daejeon and Daegu will be at 35 degrees Celsius this afternoon. Gwangju should be the hottest city at 36 degrees.

Tomorrow is Ipchu, according to lunar calendar, the beginning of autumn. We can expect nighttime temperatures to drop a bit.
