Heavy rain caused Little Cedar Creek in Cave Spring, Georgia, to overflow on August 2, flooding much of the city’s downtown.Little Cedar Creek runs through the centre of Cave Spring and floodwater swamped homes and businesses on Thursday. Cave Spring Police Chief Danny McCain told WSB-TV that nearly all the roads in the downtown area were closed, "We’re not letting traffic come through because when they do, it pushes water into the businesses.”WSB-TV reported one person had to be rescued from their home and voluntary evacuations were underway.
