Ant & Dec humbled by 15th NTA win

Ant & Dec rule the roost at the National Television Awards, and it was no different in 2016, as they denied Graham Norton, Rylan Clark Neal and Mel & Sue to take the prize for best presenters.

The National Television Awards took place last night (20th January) at London's O2 Arena. Among the big winners were presenters Ant & Dec who took home their 15th NTA trophy. Downton Abbey took the prize for best drama, with Suranne Jones taking the acting prize. EastEnders was the big soap winner, taking best serial drama and serial drama performance for Danny Dyer, but Coronation Street took one prize, for best newcomer Shane Ward (watch his interview here: https://youtu.be/PlL6KEJp65g). In the battle between the Saturday night entertainment heavyweights, Strictly Come Dancing came out on top again, taking best talent show from The X Factor, and the BBC made it a clean sweep of the reality TV categories as Great British Bake Off scooped the best challenge show.
