U.S. says it expects North Korea to uphold promise to give up nuclear arms
  • 6 years ago
The U.S. State Department says it expects Pyongyang to keep its commitment of denuclearization made during the historic summit between their two leaders in June.
However, questions have been raised over the North's commitment after a U.S. spy satellite detected renewed activity at the North Korean factory that produced the regime's first ICBM capable of reaching the United States.
State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said the U.S. was holding North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to the commitment he made during the summit to denuclearize,... but declined to comment on the satellite images.
