A Closer Look at the adidas PureBOOST Sneaker

Originally released back in 2014, the PureBOOST was, for many, an introduction to the Three Stripes’ BOOST cushioning and a precursor of sorts to the craze behind the UltraBOOST. Now, after introducing the likes of the PureBOOST 2, a Y-3 take on the silhouette, the PureBOOST X, the PureBOOST ZG Prime, and the PureBOOST Raw in the years since, adi is taking the silhouette back to its clean, minimalist roots with a reimagined take on the silhouette. Simply dubbed the PureBOOST, adidas' latest model first surfaced back in November. The PureBOOST combines the UltraBOOST’s sole unit with a Primeknit upper that features Three Stripes branding integrated right into the knit, along with a dynamic heel fit system and a unique nylon lacing system.
