If you’re looking for a laid-back dinning experience, look no further than Lyle’s. This Michelin starred restaurant serves up seasonal British fare with a relaxed vibe in London’s creative epicentre. Situated in Shoreditch, Lyle’s offers up a no-choice menu, which means visitors will have to leave any presumptions at the door and have full confidence of the kitchen staff. Despite being one of the city’s busiest restaurants, Head Chef James Lowe likes to make an appearance among the guests when the service slows down. This interaction is intrinsic to the restaurant’s charisma, and can also be felt across Lyle’s “The Guest Series” which showcases the talents of chefs around the world. Recently Lyle’s invited Mitch Orr of Sydney’s ACME as part of its latest session, highlighting Orr’s inventive approach to Italian cuisine. HYPEBEAST TV sat down with both Head Chefs after operating hours to learn more about the ingredients gone into the featured Macaroni Pig’s Head & Egg Yoke Pasta. The two then go on to discuss the importance of music and how Atlanta rap — think Young Thug and Future — can switch up a culinary experience entirely. Check out the video above and listen to Mitch Orr’s “The Guest Series” playlist on Spotify.
