Recently acquired by sports and lifestyle heavyweights Kering, Volcom has seen a slight shift in its philosophy. Without falling far from its skate, surf and snow roots, Volcom's latest offerings ode of upfront, street sensibilities synonymous to the brand yet crafted with the refinement of seamless lifestyle. With the acquisition, Volcolm's rejuvenation has allowed the skate imprint to explore the long overdue category of footwear. We spoke to Creative Director Ethan Anderson and Senior Vice President of Global Marketing Ryan Immegart on the brand's entrance into shoe design, learning about Volcom's youthful aesthetics in light of its new found sophistication -- successfully merging skate-friendly motifs with progressive designs.
