Across the border, North Korea is celebrating the armistice anniversary without the usual hostile rhetoric against the United States,... instead calling for a formal end to the war.
July 27th, when the armistice agreement was signed, is celebrated in the North as Victory Day.
But this year, there were no slogans about "American imperialism" or events of a hostile nature.
It's reported that promotional materials with anti-U.S. slogans have disappeared since the historic Singapore summit.
Also, the communist state's media are refraining from making direct criticisms of Washington.
