Porsche 911 GT2 RS on The Bend

In April 2018 a brand new motor racing circuit was opened in the small town of Tailem Bend in South Australia. At 7.7-kilometres, The Bend Motorsport Park is the second-longest permanent racing circuit in the world – behind only the Nürburgring Nordschleife. As the Porsche 911 GT2 RS holds the production car lap record for the Nordschleife, it was fitting that the same car be the first to set a benchmark for The Bend. Experienced Australian racing driver and performance car test driver Warren Luff drove the 911 GT2 RS to a best time of 3:24.079 around the 35 corner layout. Luff, a former runner-up in the Porsche Wilson Security Carrera Cup Australia championship, saw the privilege of driving the GT2 RS around the state-of-the-art facility as a career highlight.
