Ruins of former village revealed in Cumbria as heatwave continues to scorch UK

A submerged village in Cumbria has become visible during severe heatwave conditions in the UK.

The footage shows the remains of roads and property foundations of Mardale Green - a village blown up and flooded by the Manchester Corporation Haweswater to build a reservoir in 1937.

The clip was captured on July 6.
