How to Log Out in Ubuntu via Terminal?

Step 1: Right click on the Desktop, and click on 'Open terminal.'

you can also open Terminal by pressing Alt+Ctrl+t key on the keyboard.

Step 2: Now, type 'gnome-session-quit' without quotes, and hit Enter on the keyboard.

you will see new window where you can click on 'Log Out' button to Log-Out immediately.
