ಅಕ್ರಮ ಸಂಬಂಧದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪು ಎಂದೇ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಮದುವೆಯ ಪಾವಿತ್ರ್ಯ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರವು ಬುಧವಾರ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದೆ.

The Centre has told the Supreme Court that adultery must remain an offence to preserve the sanctity of a marriage. Section 497 of the Indian Penal Code currently is only applicable to men having sex with a married woman who is not his wife.
