A small group of protesters picketed the July 5 reopening of the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, from which White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was turned away in June. The protesters held signs with slogans such as “No Civility, No Peas”, and “Red Hen 2018 = 1960 Woolworth Lunch Counter” – a reference to a restaurant that refused to serve people of color. The protesters did not interfere with people entering the restaurant to eat, according to news reports. Credit: Brandy Fitzgerald Hostetter via Storyful
