Black Harbour is a blues band from Johannesburg.
The band’s sound comes from deep blues influences like Robert Johnson through to Howlin' Wolf, with modern feels that resonate within artists like Gary Clark Jr and Dan Patlansky. The band has a darker blues tone, bringing in unique acoustic, electric and melodic elements into the music. A sweeter, melodic acoustic atmosphere can be found in the band’s set as a duo or trio, with a powerful, rock-influenced electric set that comes to life at festivals and club shows.
Black Harbour’s musical and aesthetic style has made the band a venue favourite, having performed at top Johannesburg venues such as the Green Craft Bar, the Stables, Social on Main and Hell's Kitchen, and has a strong private and corporate appeal.
Black Harbours’ recent performances include Balcony TV Johannesburg, FORR FEST 2017, Free State Folk Festival 2018 as well as Misty Waters 2018. We are excited to announce a live blues show to take place on the 13th of June 2018 at the Barnyard Theatre in Rivonia, with guest artists from the Black Cat Bones, the Saucetones and Gunshot Blue.
