How Do You Buy a McLaren Senna? | My First Hypercar!

How does a customer actually get on the list and buy a car like the McLaren Senna? Well now I can tell you from my experience what is involved in a limited edition hypercar purchase! My Senna will be due in early 2019, but believe it or not it was almost 2.5 years ago that I first expressed interest to McLaren to go about buying one...
On arrival in Portugal to join the first drive event for the McLaren Senna, a car in Delta Red sits on the balcony at the hotel beside the Atlantic Ocean. This was a great opportunity to pre-empt questions that may be of interest to you about the buyer method for an Ultimate Series car.
In early 2016 I expressed interest in a future Ultimate Series car built for the track. Fast forward to summer 2017 and the project was nearing completion, meaning that cars began to be allocated and 1st deposits required. After the reveal at the Winter Ball in December 2017, the 2nd deposit was immediately required to confirm car numbers and delivery slots. I kept my special secret for a little while longer to make this announcement when all had been fully locked in and to do so at my first drive of the car!
I'd always said I wouldn't buy a hypercar if it meant that I would have to sell every other car that I own. Fortunately I'm now in a position to be able to purchase the Senna while keeping a garage of other cars including the 675LT Spider and Aston Martin Vantage GT8.
It's really the start of a new chapter, with the Senna arriving alongside my Ford GT, it looks like 2019 is going to be incredibly exciting and I can't wait to share that with you.
