Golden Knights, NHL on best behavior
The NHL and the Golden Knights were on their best behavior during the 2017-18 season. The Knights tied for last place in number of fighting penalties, and forward William Karlsson was awarded the Lady Byng Trophy for sportsmanship. Vegas also was well-behaved off the ice, with zero arrests or similar issues. The NHL has had only three arrests in 2018, after having none in 2017. Unlike college football and the NFL, professional hockey continues to have few of its players arrested despite the violent nature of the game.
