Anadolu Feneri-Anatolian Lighthouse

Both of Anatolian lighthouse and Rumeli lighthouse constructed in 1856 for same aim. In fact there was a lighthouse at same location once upon a time. The lighthouse rebuilt and modernized while Rumeli Lighthouse constructed. Settlements began at the village in 17th century. Anadolu Lighthouse is at the northernmost point of Istanbul. This location offers its guests a wonderful view of Rumeli Lighthouse, Black Sea and Istanbul Bosphorus. This great place is suitable for to relax and silently view the Bosphorus
The Hamid-i Evvel Mosque which has the same panoramic view built by Sultan Abdulhamit II in 1880. You will also notice a historical fountain which constructed in 1824.

When you go down the small road descending to the slope of the Anatolian Lighthouse you will see a wonderful landscape with a small pier and boats.
HOW CAN YOU GO TO ANATOLIAN LIGHTHOUSE VILLAGE?
First of all, you should go to Kavacık town. You can find public transportation buses which depart from Kavacık and direct to Anatolian Lighthouse village.

We offer going to Beykoz town if you drive automobile. The distance between Beykoz and Anatolian Lighthouse is 15 km . You will be very glad while driving to Anatolian Lighthouse village cause of road. Road is peaceful and it is so nice to drive in forest.

You can see many people at Anadolu Kavağı but there are so less people at Anatolian Lighthouse village. Full Bosphorus Cruise ships anchor for three hours at Anadolu Kavağı. In addition regular boats also sail to Anadolu Kavağı everyday.
