Sam Divine is back at it, joining forces once again with labelmate CASSIMM for a three-track EP of summer-ready stompers. CASSIMM has been a regular on D-Vine Sounds since 2015, collaborating earlier this year with Sam on a remix of Kristine Blond’s ‘Love Shy’, a Traxsource #1 and Beatport House #2. With a track record like that and such great chemistry in the studio, it’s set to be more of the same from ‘In Da Nation EP’.
Designed with the club in mind, this EP delivers back-to-back movers, leaning heavily on tight forward-moving beats and hooks. The title track bubbles over a tight rolling groove, while ‘To The Beat’ has an irresistible tech-inclined bounce. ‘Can’t Stop The House’, which features the voice of Twirl Recordings boss Alinka serving pure Chicago house credibility, finishes off this EP of pure club staples.
