Business Insider reports that on Wednesday the Kate Spade brand announced it would donate $1 million to mental-health awareness to honor its late founder. Kate Spade was found dead by suicide in her apartment in New York City on June 5. She was 55. Her husband, Andy, said she had suffered from depression and anxiety for many years. The first donation of $250,000 will be given to Crisis Text Line, a non-profit that supports people in crisis using a text-messaging service.
