The Park in the Middle of a Los Angeles Oil Field

Only in Los Angeles can you have lunch at a picnic table with a lake on one side and an oil pump jack on the other. Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area is one of two state parks in Los Angeles that surround the city's largest oil field, the Inglewood Oil Field. Despite being directly adjacent to an active oil field and of top of land where active wells once were it is a beautiful recreation area. It offers some of the best views of Los Angeles to be had (if you don't mind looking past some oil pump jacks)
