From classic hummus to pesto hummus and red pepper hummus - this super-speedy recipe is really easy to adapt to your taste. Just blend together one can of rinsed chickpeas with two tablespoons of tahini and two tablespoons of lemon juice - plus any combination of the ingredients below - then blitz until combined. Voila!
RECIPES
For classic hummus
Add one clove of garlic and two tablespoons of olive oil
For herby green (pesto) hummus
Add two tablespoons of pesto and two tablespoons of parmesan cheese
For red pepper hummus
Add two roasted red peppers, chopped (ours are straight from the jar!) plus a teaspoon of cumin
Serve with pitta, olives, breadsticks or any number of dippy vegetables like carrots, celery and peppers and you've got a great summery snack.
